Ministry Notifies Tourists That Vaccine Cards Are No Longer Required to Enter Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Tourism has released an announcement notifying tourism operators, domestic tourists, international tourists, media and the public that the Royal Government of Cambodia has updated its health measures and requirements for foreign travelers entering Cambodia.

This update concerns the removal of the measure requiring all international travelers entering Cambodia by land, water or air gateways, to present their passenger health declaration and full Covid-19 vaccination card or certificate. International travelers will no longer be required to show such documentation when arriving in Cambodia.

However, the Ministry of Health still maintains that remote thermometers are required at all entry and exit gates, and officials at border check points must continue to be responsible for monitoring the health of travelers and giving advice to any who have suspected symptoms.

The Ministry of Health still also calls on residents or passengers who have not yet received the basic dose or booster doses of the Covid-19, to go to one of the vaccination sites in the capital city or provinces to receive the vaccine free of charge. The Ministry of Health also encourages all domestic and international tourists and travelers to strictly adhere to the ‘3 Do's 3 Don't’s’ health measures and regularly conduct self-health checks to avoid any accidental transmission of Covid-19.

The Ministry of Tourism calls on and encourages all relevant parties to effectively implement Tourism Safety Measures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all tourism services, and widely disseminate this announcement to attract more international visitors to Cambodia.
